We offer up to $20,000 (up to $5000 per year for four years)

The scholarship is open to exceptionally Innovative and Creative High School Juniors, Seniors and College Freshmen who are:

from Connecticut or the New York City metro area (and plan to attend or are attending college anywhere in the U.S.)

OR

from any part of the U.S. who plan to attend (or are attending) college in CT or NYC

a student who has solved an artistic, scientific, or technical problem in a new or unusual way

a student who has come up with a distinctive solution to problems faced by your school, community or family

a student who has created a new group, organization, or institution that serves an important need

Eligible applicants to the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity must satisfy these two conditions:

1. Applicant must be
(a) a high school junior, or
(b) a high school senior, or
(c) any person entering an undergraduate degree program* in the fall after the application deadline or the following spring, or
(d) a student in the first year of an undergraduate degree program*.

2. And applicant must be
--A Connecticut or New York City metropolitan area resident planning to attend or attending an institution of higher education anywhere in the United States

OR

--Are from any part of the U.S. who plan to attend (or are attending) college in CT or NYC

*The scholarship can be applied to any undergraduate degree program, which is defined as any post-secondary, undergraduate degree program at an accredited college, university, vocational school, or technical school.

How to Apply

An ONLINE APPLICATION will be available in the latter part of November, 2013.

In the interim, you may look at the previous application as a reference for what will be required.

Your transcripts and recommendations will still need to be submitted separately on paper to the Milton Fisher Scholarship, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, New Haven, CT 06510

You may submit your financial information in one of two ways:

(1) by scanning it and sending it online, with the  social security numbers crossed out, or

(2) by mailing  a paper copy, also with the social security numbers crossed out.
