Description: The School of Information REU program will provide a diverse group of promising students with a ten week research experience to foster their intellectual growth as scientists, and to provide an important building block for a rewarding long-term career in the fields of social sciences and information technology.

Additional Information: Students will participate full-time in research and activities of REU, such as weekly seminars, workshops, and special events. In addition, they will prepare and present a poster and slides about the research project at the end of the program.

Highest priority during recruitment and selection will be given to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds that are under-represented in science or engineering, and from schools with limited research opportunities, such as area community colleges.
